Road Trip Part 1 Nashville

NASHVILLE!!!!

My first stop on this road trip was Nashville duration stayed for two nights. We stayed at Comfort Inn in La Vergne which is just outside of Nashville. This hotel was pretty nice it had a door that you park by for the room, which is great for when your traveling a long road trip in a car. The first day we got there we drove almost 12 hours straight with a few minor pit stops. So we slept and woke up and enjoyed Nashville's night life on Broadway St. First we went into just a couple random bars and there was talented singers in each one and no cover charge to get in! One bar that I remember in particular where we also ate was Margaritaville, and believe or no I didn't have a Margarita lol. I had some sweet sangria which was really good! The place was really lively there was a guy on stilts a piano staircase and great performers! The people we saw were called Brittany & Matt and Eric Von they were both really good! Here is a picture of Margarittaville!

The next bar we went to was not my favorite I don't remember the name but I DO NOT SMOKE, therefore I didn't like it. There was also a very ear crushing loud band playing Led Zeppelin which was good just way to loud! Also when you look up the insulation was black probably from all the smoke gross! After that we went into some shops that had lots of Elvis stuff so I bought something for my friend and my nephew. They had this really cool Elvis pajamas but it was to expensive I thought but here is what it looked like for you Elvis fans out there.

By the way the stores stay open till midnight in Nashville on week days, crazy huh?

Next day I thought my skin was looking terrible so I went and got a facial at this place called O.liv. This place also specialized in massages which I think would be a more enjoyable experience. When you first arrive they give you hot tea of your choice I chose pomegranate green tea it was delish! The they but you in this big comfy robe and you sit there and enjoy your tea. Here is me enjoying my spa robe.

I received the acne treatment which if your not used to facials I don't recommend this one quite yet, basically she took care of the problem skin I was having but used intense tools which can be painful if your not used to it. But overall what I came there for was accomplished. The setting of this spa I think would be more enjoyable if you got a massage the place is just so comfortable!

That night we went down town again to a street off of Broadway to a bar called the silver dollar I think. They had really really good music but no food so we didn't stay long because I was getting hungry. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe, which I never been to before and have always wanted to go. It was singer song write night so there was a 10 dollar cover charge but it was so worth it! The people we saw were song writers for famous country artists and I think they were better then the originals by far! We saw Tim Rushlow, Leslie Satcher, Larry Stewart, and Alan Shamblin! We stayed for the entire show and since it was a week night and off season it wasn't crowed at all almost like a private show! Here is the singer song writers performing.

Although the performance was excellent, the food was not. I first ordered onion rings because I was starving and they were cold but the sauce was really good so I ate all of them. Then I ordered this shrimp dish and it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. So then I ordered and apple cobbler kind of thing and that finally hit the spot:)
Overall I loved Nashville so much and if I was a talented singer I would totally move there! I wish we stayed longer but the next day we headed off to our next destination.

Tennessee is beautiful along our way through we drove through lots of beautiful mountains and rock formations with waterfalls coming out of them on the side of the road. Here is a little bit of the mountains we saw.

My trip to VA beaches!

In Virginia I went to my AF tech school there. I loved Virginia the weather the shops having Starbucks on every exit! My favorite part of Virginia however, was VA Beach. For Thanksgiving break my mom came down to visit me and we took a road trip around VA and VA beach was out favorite. It is absolutely gorgeous here is the view from the hotel I stayed at.

We were only suppose to stay here for one night and go to Richmond the next but with this gorgeous view for only $60 a night we had to stay one more night. The hotel was called Ocean Front inn here's the website http://oceanfrontinn.com/ We did go in the off season however, to get this amazing price. So it wasn't warm enough to swimming but that didn't stop some surfers in wet suits that I saw in the morning trying to catch a wave.
The day before we got to the hotel we took a long road trip on Highway 13 which is an above and underwater highway across the Atlantic and along the Chesapeake bay. We only made it up to Cape Charles which was beautiful. It reminds me of a place where some Nicholas Sparks movie was filmed. Here is a few pictures of the beautiful beach at Cape Charles.

The sand was so soft and squishy I made quite and impression in the sand with my crutches at the time. It would have been better to not be on crutches on this beautiful trip but I still enjoyed myself there.
Also on this trip on the way back from Cape Charles we went to a little restaurant off the highway the only one. As we sat and ate there was a breath taking view of the ocean and a dock out to the sea with people fishing off of it. As I crutched out to the dock to go out the middle of the sea. I looked down and saw crushing waves beneath me and had a horrible fear that my crutch would somehow break the wooden dock and I would fall to my death, so I crutched myself of that dock as fast as I could. Here is a picture of as far out as I could go on the dock of the highway. Also a pic of me and my mom and the restaurant we ate at.

Also while we were in VA Beach we went to Abbey Road, a Beatles restaurant maybe you heard of it if your a Beatles fan. We went on Thanksgiving so I had turkey and stuffing go figure. Here is some pictures from the restaurant.

I loved VA Beach so much I can't wait to go back someday:)
